Martin a son of an Austrian photographer has been born in March 1970 in a small town close to capital city. In a family talented on Photographed and visiting the school of photography in Vienna wasn’t that difficult to learn and grow up as a professional one. Already at the early age of 10 years Martin got a personal thanking letter because of very good picture that Martin took from the mayor of his hometown. Lately his first nude series wasn’t so bad, although he was pretty nervous before he started. At the moment his best picture is always the last one, or let’s says most of the time.
Martin began with Konica T4, and then he switched to Minolta where he was working with several cameras of the Dynax series. At these days is Martin working with Hasselblad H3Dll and a Nikon D3. But Martin began to work digital quite late, something about 4 years ago and he still has fully functional hasselblads in analog for the case when he wants to work analog. Anyway because analog is too slow for him, Martin is using only digital for modelshootings, to reach a better and faster workflow.
Martin is concentrating on his work while shooting, trying to get the best results which are possible. For Martin food photography is not interesting, he prefers to work with models. There is a lways a lot of communication on the set with the people he is taking pictures of. A friendly communication between model and photographer is very important for him, a good mood on the shooting set, professional; a sort of “electricity” between models and photographer is also helpful. Generally the whole model is important for good results; he is not able to name only special parts.
Once Martin had to start over a wedding shooting because the film roll wasn’t on it’s place, that’s the classic blunder. Across this he is still not up to open his pay site. What Martin is doing is selling original prints to collectors all over the World. Finally he is a quite flexible photographer; he just needs a cool location, a good model and good makeup artist, that’s it. Warm location is always better, but it’s not conditioned. In US there are lots of interesting places for shooting and of course Seychelles, Barbados, Cuba and more.
Martin has published in Czech Playboy already, in German Penthouse various covers, portfolios in “Wiener” (an Austrian lifestyle magazine), Kurier, Heye Verlag, Mohnmedia, Kronen Zeitung (biggest daily newspaper in Austria), it was around more than 100 publications only last year. He also has published on web in numerous galleries like Michelle7 and so on. For 9 years now Martin is producing calendars by himself, right now finishing the one for 2012.
Martin would like to produce his own first book soon and other planes for future are; continue with calendars, work a little bit more for magazines, teaching on workshops, shooting for companies who need erotic content and he will try to keep his high level on erotic photography or will even try to raise the quality. His models are getting better each year and because of that his pictures are getting better too.
