Anjara Design is a UK based design studio, owned and operated by freelance artist/illustrator & web designer, Andy Screen.
Andy is best known for his retro inspired Pin-up girls; taking influence from the saucy seaside postcards of Donald McGill and classic British 70s smut as well as WW2 aircraft nose-art and tattoo culture, Andy brings a sexy, urban (and dirty) twist to a classic genre.
His latest book, ‘Shake the Bottle! [sexiful pictures for the erector set]’ showcases some of his work and provides 52 pages of super sexy pin-ups and titilating typography and is inspired by the subtle art of ‘Adver ‘TEASE ME’ ent!. He is currently working on a second book which will have a more classic, military based theme featuring uniformed pin-up girls as an homage to the classic (and much revered) pin-ups of the 40s and 50s.
Andy also produces design based work for a range of clients ranging from Barbie Collector Brand Packaging design for Mattel, to award winning multimedia design and illustration for clients including Canadian rock band, Eldebrock. When he isn’t working for himself, Andy also teaches Graphic Design & Creative Digital Media at the University of Worcester.
