Jo Gedrych is a British artist. He was born in Bristol in 1946, later he studied graphic design and photography at college in Brighton and went on to study psychology, sociology and history. He tried a lot of jobs and is still actively engaged in the communities in which he lives, pursuing existing skills and developing new ones.
For Jo, all art has an erotic nature. “It is designed to appeal directly to the senses in a very sensual and non-intellectual way. Without that dynamism it wouldn’t be art,” states Jo.
In 2005, Jo turned to CGI (Computer Generated Images). “It helps me to explore new ways of creating images unlike my traditional drawing and photography. You start by making a model, clothe and paint it, then put it into a setting, pose it, arrange the lights, finally you set up the cameras and capture it,” says Jo.
